Life Springs Eternal. Just when I thought Spring was dead
          The earth was all brown
And then all white
And the white was relentless
The air was 47 and then 22
And the 22 was relentless
With many days less than that
We were teased with a rare 35
Then back to the 20’s
and I thought Spring was dead
And then the beautiful sweet Crocus
Reared its welcome purple head through the death of brown
And I sighed with relief
Life springs eternal
And just when I thought Spring was dead
